Erica loved her day job, but she finally took the plunge to make Rainbow Factory her full-time project and hasn’t looked back.

“I discovered a love of art and all things beautiful in my early elementary years. I eventually graduated from Augusta State University and built a respectable career in communications and marketing, but I continued creating fine art as a hobby.

One day, as a gift to my adorable niece, I painted faces at her fifth birthday party. I had never done it before, but I figured if I can paint canvases, I can certainly paint faces. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the art. That was about 15 years ago, and I still get a burst of satisfaction every time I see a shy face come alive at that first look in the mirror.

I loved my day job, but I finally took the plunge to make Arty Party my full-time project. Now I get to experience that “wow†moment all the time!

Fast forward five years, and my oldest daughter, Rosa Leigh, has joined me in my face painting adventures. She assists me a parties and offers glitter tattoos at festivals. I can’t think of a better girl to have by my side.”

Becky is all smiles and southern charm, and when it comes to Rainbow Factory, she’s “all in”.

After being in the field of dentistry for nearly 15 years, Becky decided to become a stay at home mom after her 4th child was born and look for ways to create income that worked around her desire to spend more time with her family.

“When Erica invited me to join her on this business venture, it was a complete ‘a-ha’ Moment! Who wouldn’t want to have this much fun at work?! I knew I had to be a part of this amazing company that she had created. Seeing the looks on the faces of children and their parents after we’ve painted them is priceless and immensely rewarding.”

Maya has always loved kids and animals in no particular order. So to make kids happy for a living was a no brainer.

Maya joined the Rainbow Factory team in 2019. It was her soul focus to take Rainbow Factory from its roots in Augusta, GA all the way to Raleigh, NC. She quickly made a respectable name for herself as the best face painter in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill triangle. Why? Because she’s not only beautiful and talented, but kids just adore her shining personality.

Maya is a college student at Meredith College. She is studying biology in hopes of one day being an obstetrician. To deliver babies is her number one dream. When she’s not studying, she’s either killing it on the lacrosse field or practicing her face painting skills. We are ecstatic to have her on our team.
